The following is an excerpt from a memorable narrative of a trip through Western Sicily, where the 7 deadly sins truly do prevail. The group tackled Western Sicily as it is the culinary backbone of the region, contrary to popular belief which gives Palermo and Catania the gastronomic crown; the East being more touristic with its pristine blue beaches, Mt. Etna, and Syracuse.
